About

As a local community, non-profit organization situated in Vancouver, BC (Canada), the Little Things Count Foundation is a collaborative group of individuals working towards making a difference in the lives of youth, by encouraging an active physical lifestyle. We do so by providing avenues enabling children to engage in sports together. Within group environment sports activities, youth benefit from learning to socialize with one another, become familiar with involving sports as a part of their daily routines and gaining additional life skills, such as cohesively working with others in a team setting.

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

Winston Churchill

What We Do

Sports participation has always contributed to developing youth health. To continue this approach, we formulated four such programs. The Volunteer Program allows youth to become involved in the community by taking on responsibilities related to event organization, scorekeeping and camp/clinic assistance. Our Free Clinics teach the basics of basketball, hosted by our partners at the School of Handles. The Scholarship Fund awards select students pursuing a roster spot on a college/university sports team, as well as a post-secondary education. And Recreate, is where local basketball courts are given a fresh look through design and renovation.
